It avoids the pitfalls you'd expect from more typical mobile card games and does a great job of making you feel like you're in charge of your own team of wrestlers. Seeing the cards (yes, the actual cards) march out to the ring amidst the roar of the crowd and requisite camera flashes - then watching them jump off the top ropes, shove another card into the turnbuckle, and so on - never fails to entertain. It's an interesting idea, and a great way to try and earn some extra cards on top of the regular Exhibition matches. You'll have your core group and a backup line to pull from, which is important because your wrestlers will start to get tired and their stats will drop if you don't switch them out from time to time to rest. Then there's the King of the Ring, which lets you participate in an automated tournament against other players over the course of a couple of days, with matches scheduled in advance. You have to pick your wrestlers for each set using just the cards in your hand. ![]() Rather than simply setting up a hand and seeing what happens, you're actually given three different matches with different criteria (solo with a focus on Charisma, tag team for Power and Toughness, etc). I know this all sounds like the same old song and dance but one big difference is that it doesn't cost anything to upgrade cards - no wait timers and no in-game currencies to balance.Īnother big difference is the way in which the cards are used throughout an Exhibition match.
